Live mode lets you run lessons and quizzes with your class in real time. You control the pace of the session while students follow along on their own devices. As students respond, you can see how the class is tracking and review a summary of class performance at the end of the session.
Starting a live session
You can start live mode from any Atomi lesson, quiz or teacher-created quiz.
Go to the lesson or quiz you want to run with your class.
Click the Start live mode button at the top of the page.
Click the Send invite button in the modal.
Inviting students
After the invite is sent, logged-in students will automatically receive an invitation to join the session.
You'll then enter a waiting room where you can see how many students have joined. The student count updates in real time as students accept the invitation.
When you're ready, click the Start live mode button. You don't need to wait for every student to join. You can begin as soon as one student has entered the session.
Moving through content
You control the pace of the session. Students see the same content as you and can't move ahead or return to previous pages independently. Use Next and Back buttons to move through the lesson or quiz. A progress indicator shows your current page in the session.
Content pages
On lesson content pages, you'll see a student check-in panel on the right-hand side of the screen. Students tap one of these check-in buttons to show how they're tracking:

These responses update in real time throughout the session.
Question pages
On question pages, the right-hand panel shows how many students have submitted an answer. When you're ready to discuss the question, click the Reveal answer button. After revealing the answer, you'll see:
Overall class accuracy
A breakdown of correct and incorrect responses
Answers are only shown when you click the Reveal answer button, so you stay in control of the discussion.
Session summary
At the end of the session, you'll see a summary of class performance, including:
Overall class rating: the class score and completion rate for the session.
Question-level results: how students performed on each question, with lower-performing questions highlighted.
What went well and what to revisit: the most common incorrect responses from the session.
Discussion points: suggested prompts based on student responses.
Ending a session
Once you reach the summary page, the session ends automatically.
To end a session before reaching the summary page (mid-session), click the End session button. Students will be notified that the session has ended and returned to their homepage. You'll then be taken back to the lesson or quiz start page.
