Sometimes you want to zero in on a few parts of a lesson, or adjust a question to fit your class. This guide shows you how.
You can create your own editable copy of an interactive lesson or quiz. Keep the content you want, reorder it, edit a question's difficulty or wording and add your own questions to suit your class. When it's ready, share it with your class as a task.
It's a quick way to tailor Atomi content to the class in front of you as you plan and deliver a lesson.
Before you start
You can customise interactive lessons and Atomi quizzes. Text and video lessons aren't supported yet, so if a lesson can't be customised you won't see the Customise button.
Your customised version is only visible to you and the class you share it with. The original Atomi lesson stays exactly as it is for everyone else.
Customising a lesson or quiz
Open the interactive lesson or quiz you want to customise.
Click the Customise button at the top of the lesson page.
You can also open it from your lesson list: click the More options (⋯) menu next to the lesson name, then select the Customise menu item. Atomi creates an editable copy and opens it in the quiz editor, keeping every question, video and text snippet in its original order.
3. Make your changes in the editor. You can:
Remove a question, video or text snippet by clicking the Delete icon on the item.
Reorder items by dragging them into a new position.
Edit a question’s difficulty or add new ones, the same way you would when creating a quiz.
You can't add new video or text snippets yet. To share extra content with your class, add it to the task instead.
4. When you're happy with your version, click the Add to task button and share it with your class using the usual task flow.
Your students will now see your customised version in their task.
Good to know
Your customised lesson lives inside the task. It isn't saved as a separate lesson in your account.
Customising never changes the original Atomi lesson, so you can always come back to it.
