How do credits work?

When making changes to your subscription, paying an invoice or participating in a promotion, you may be issued credit against your account. Depending on the type of credit, it may be able to be used for future purchases, upgrades or renewals. If you have credits available, they will display on your Billing page in a grey alert box.

Before making a purchase, upgrading or switching between plans we'll let you know how your credits will be applied to your transaction.

There are two different types of credits, so here's a quick breakdown of what they are and how they're used:

Promo credits
If you have applied a coupon code or received a subscription discount you'll see a promotional credit on your account. The promo credit will be used against your next payment (and the balance on any future payments) and is applied before tax (GST or VAT).

Pro-rata credits
When you switch your subscription type, plan or quantity or if you have overpaid an invoice, you'll receive prorated credit for any applicable billing days left. The pro-rata credit will be used against your next payment (and the balance on any future payments) and is applied after tax (GST or VAT).
