How can I access AI feedback?

AI feedback is available on all text-based questions for all year levels. It’s a part of your Atomi subscription, meaning it comes at no extra cost.

Got more questions on how to make the most out of our AI feedback?

How can I use AI feedback safely?

To make sure you’re being safe when using AI, it’s important to protect your personal information, including your:

  • Full name or student number

  • Date of birth

  • Address, email, or phone number

  • And, cultural, religious, or ethnic background.

Atomi questions will never ask for this information, and you should never share it in your short answer responses. Atomi occasionally uses student responses to help us improve our AI marking and feedback, which means our company may read your responses. So, please take care with what information you provide.

If you have security concerns or want to report a security risk in our AI, you can contact us at security@getatomi.com.

As a teacher, can I see AI-generated feedback provided to my students?

Atomi does not currently allow teachers to view the feedback provided to students unless the students share it themselves. However, our “teacher review mode” provides insight into measuring student understanding by providing an overview of all written responses. You can view student responses to all question types, including responses to AI feedback-powered questions.

Where can I find Atomi’s AI policy?

Atomi is committed to using AI tools to enhance the educational experience while ensuring ethical practices, transparency and the protection of user data.

This policy outlines the principles and guidelines to benefit students, teachers and the entire school community.

We have aligned Atomi’s AI policy with:

  • The SOC 2 security framework.

  • The Australian Framework for Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Schools.

  • The Safer Technology 4 Schools (ST4S) certification.

How does Atomi protect the privacy of student data?

Atomi is a Student Privacy Pledge signatory committed to protecting student privacy.

AI Feedback occurs entirely within the Atomi platform, with no data sent to third parties. Anonymised student responses to questions may be shared with our team or a third party to improve Atomi’s AI model. However, no data about the student is shared, so the student is not identifiable based on these responses.

You can learn more about the types of data we collect, how we use and store data and your rights in our Privacy policy or the Security, privacy and trust section of our Help Centre.
